DIN 1.2311 / 40CrMnMo7 Steel is a high-quality alloy tool steel usually supplied in Quenched & Tempered (QT) condition. Known for its excellent polished finish, it is a premier choice for machine-cut plastic moulds, offering superior wear resistance.

Heat Treatment (QT Process)

  1. Heat to 820-850°C uniformly.
  2. Quench in oil.
  3. Withdraw and cool in air.
  4. Temper at 300-400°C based on specific hardness requirements (2 hours per 25mm thickness).
